Kenya Building Research Centre (KBRC) established in 1957 under the State Department for Public Works in the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development is mandated to coordinate building research services. KBRC activities include to: coordinate and undertake applied building research services through partnerships and collaboration; disseminate research findings to various technical staff, contractors and the general public; and mainstreaming of sustainable building practices in government projects across the country. KBRC digital platform is the means of promoting ABMTs in the effort to reduce the cost of building and construction in all communities in Kenya. The website alongside e-library will also facilitate feedback intended to improve public service delivery on governments Affordable Housing Strategies.
