Kenya Building Research Centre, in partnership with Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board, published a guidebook titled “Building Sustainable Homes – Innovation for Affordable Housing.” The guidebook points out numerous building materials and technologies. This production forms a vital reference point highlighting all sustainable, locally available building materials and technologies that the public can use to construct affordable houses in the country. The publication is available in both print and digital formats.
The publication inspires new innovative ideas, products, experiences, and processes in building and construction projects. It informs the development and improvement of existing building policies in the country. It further inspires the establishment of local industries and manufacturing of building materials and components.
