Ceramic toilet project

Collaboration between Kenya Building Research Centre and   University of Nairobi - July 6, 2022.

The Principal Secretary (PS) State Department for Public Works (SDPW), Mr. Solomon Kitungu toured the Faculty of Built Environment and Design for a demonstration of the ceramic toilet (Ngisi Toilet Project) designed and developed by the Department of Art and Design. Accompanying the PS was the Works Secretary, Eng. Isaac Kiva, Director, Kenya Building Research Centre, Arch. Oliver Okello and Deputy Director, Research Mr. Adams Namayi. The delegation was received by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama, Dean, Faculty of Built Environment and Design, Prof. Robert Rukwaro, the Chairman of the Department of Art and Design, Dr. Samuel Maina, and the lead Researcher Prof. Lilac Osanjo.
