Repurposing coral quarry dust waste into innovative and affordable building materials
The Coastal Region has huge landfill in quarries where coral rock are crushed into various shapes and sizes for construction purposes. This research is purposed to investigate possibilities of turning coral stone quarry dust into useful building materials through sustainable industrial process. The study aim to 1. Investigate into materials that can be used to make walls, Floors pavements and other elements in masonry construction (innovative building blocks and tiles), 2. Investigate into possible land reclamation strategies after quarrying activities in the coastal region.
