To undertake mainstreaming of climate change mitigation responses into development planning, decision making and implementation of projects.
To champion this agenda KBRC in partnership with UN HABITAT embarked on an activity to domesticate a charter developed by UN Habitat into a format that would speak to the local population. A six-day workshop in (Naivasha) was convened purposes of: –
Re-development of the green Building message relevant to local context.
Translation of the charter from English to Kiswahili.
Status:

Development of green building policy standards and measurement tools is on course.
Green Building Charter and (Kiswahili Translation) are ready with Green Building Charter posters developed for dissemination to mitigate on the impact of climate change.
Development of illustrations for visual messages.
Generation of photographs on key thematic areas in the Green Building charter booklet.
Development of posters on 30 strategies of the Green Building Charter.
